How to get there:
From the A4 motorway (Milan-Venice) take the ‘Brescia est’ exit. Continue along the SS45bis towards Madonna di Campiglio. Once you reach Lake Idro continue along the western shore of the basin. In the vicinity of Anfo (a little further north from the residential area) take the road to Baremone. Continue along the narrow street with some hairpin bends and you will find the church of Santa Petronilla. Leave the car here.
Monte Censo is the largest mountain in Anfo. From the top we can enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Idro and the surrounding mountains. To reach it we will take simple trails with a moderate difference in elevation (500m). Near the church we will take the 433 trail in the direction of Monte Censo. The entire route is indicated with red and white stripes. The trail leads up to the woods and has various hairpin bends. For most of the itinerary we will be able to see the Lake in front of us, while in one section we will skirt alongside the ‘Fontana fredda’ valley. Just before the arrival point the vegetation becomes sparser. Upon arrival we will find a crossroads and a cross.A few hundred metres above the cross, you can enjoy a magnificent view of almost all of Lake Idro. Towards the north, we can admiring the upper lake with the Giudicarie and Trention valleys and towards the south, east the southern section of the lake with the towns of Idro and Anfo. The return journey follows the same route.
